Bertram C. Okpokwasili is a Jersey City resident who works as an attorney and represents clients in business and criminal matters in New York and New Jersey. He has helped clients form businesses, solve contract issues, attain trademarks, and defend allegations in Federal, State and Municipal courts. His firm has represented clients in negotiations with the United States Attorney’s office with matters before the Eastern District and Southern District Courts of New York.
Bertram is a former law clerk for the Hon. Verna Leath where he worked on Civil and Family case matters that came before the New Jersey Superior Court. Bertram is a trustee of the Learning Community Charter School and the Rutgers Law School Alumni Association, and is also a former trustee of the Jersey City Board of Education. Bertram also volunteers as a coach for the Robert Clemente Little League of Jersey City, and the Inaugural Jersey City Flag Football Super Bowl Champion Giants from Franco Field.
